The Latin name, Euphrasia, comes from the ancient Greek word Euphrosyne, one of the three daughters of the Greek god Zeus. The plant is annual, grows up to 30 cm tall and has small purple or white flowers that bloom in late summer and autumn. It occurs in the wild on grass meadows and pastures in Hungary, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and other European countries. The entire aerial plant is used as a herbal remedy. Eyebright has many chemical components. The best time to collect the plant is in mid to late summer while it is in full bloom. It is commonly made as a liquid extract. Nature Answer®'s Eyebright tincture is unique. If you compare the milligrams you get per dose, you'll find that 2 drops (2 ml) contains a full 2000 mg of concentrated herb!
Recommended use: As a dietary supplement, take 1-2 ml (28-56 drops) in a small amount of water three times a day. Shake well.
