Description

L-GLUTAMINE AND ITS CENTRAL ROLE

The amino acid glutamine occurs in very many cells of your body and shows different effects there. The amino acid L-glutamine is also involved in the formation of glutathione from glutamate, which can be formed by the body itself from glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine. Likewise, different body cells use L-glutamine for their energy supply - this means that if more energy is consumed there, your need for the amino acid will also skyrocket accordingly. Depending on L-glutamine as an energy source are, for example, the muscle cells, but also the cells in your intestine, more precisely your intestinal mucosa.

L-glutamine is one of the semi-essential amino acids in the body, which means that your organism can produce them itself under the right conditions, but an additional supply via diet or the intake of capsules can be recommended if your glutamine needs are increased or the amino acid cannot be synthesized by the body itself or cannot be synthesized in sufficient quantities. By the way, it is mainly formed in your muscles, which is why the concentration of L-glutamine is also highest there.

A higher daily requirement for L-glutamine occurs, for example, when certain body cells have an increased energy requirement, such as with heavy physical stress in everyday life or during sports. Reduced production in the body, on the other hand, usually occurs as a result of certain stressful situations, such as through intensive sports, after injuries or in the course of infections.

L-glutamine capsules for daily supply

The product L-glutamine from Pure Encapsulations® offers you high-quality L-glutamine in capsule form and in good dosage to meet an increased demand in certain situations. Like all products of the brand, L-glutamine is free of unnecessary additives and developed and manufactured under the highest quality standards. L-glutamine from Pure Encapsulations is also ideal for competitive athletes, as it is subjected to regular checks as a product of the Kölner Liste®

    When should you take L-glutamine?

Glutamine is best taken throughout the day between meals. Athletes like to use L-glutamine capsules before and after training.

    What is glutamine good for?

The amino acid L-glutamine sometimes serves as an energy source for the muscles and cells of the intestinal mucosa.

    Does L-glutamine have side effects?

The amino acid glutamine occurs naturally in food and has no side effects in quantities that we also ingest from food. Thus, glutamine capsules from Pure Encapsulations are also free of side effects if you comply with the consumption recommendation stated on the packaging.

How does glutamine work in the intestinal flora?

L-glutamine serves the intestinal cells and the intestinal mucosa as an energy source and thus represents an important nutrient for the normal function of our largest immune organ.
