The Sproutman's® sprouts station for cereal grasses, sprouts or micro greens is the easy way to grow ingredients for juices and salads yourself! After just 10 days, you can enjoy your first freshly squeezed wheat or barley grass juice. Steve Meyerowitz, also known in the USA as Sproutmann, has developed this set, which allows you a simple and hygienically clean cultivation without or with soil, just as you like. Each part of the station is made of BPA-free plastic.

Space-saving extension on 3 levels

With the 3 Sproutman's cultivation bowls, you always have fresh wheat grass or sprouts available. The three specially developed 4-part rearing bowls consist of the shell, a grid for cultivation without soil, a light-proof cover for germination in the first few days and a transparent hood. The hood ensures the right microclimate and still allows enough light to pass through for chlorophyl formation.

With or without soil?

Earth or just water? This question drives many health-conscious people with a green thumb. Actually, the plants, whether grown on earth or only with water, are very similar. A study on the nutrient content concluded that both forms of rearing are relatively equivalent in the first 7 days. Hydroponic plants (without soil) could from the 7th day be supported with organic liquid fertilizer. Steve Meyrowitz, known in the USA as Sproutman and developer of the Sprouts Station, recommends rearing without soil, because from his point of view the effort does not justify the more nutrients.

Dr. Chiu-Nan Lai from the University of Texas System Cancer Center chose her research on the therapeutic effect of wheatgrass, which chose unbred wheatgrass. Robert Nees, former director of the Optimum Health Institute, the large wheatgrass retreat center in California, also served his guests hydroponic wheatgrass. He reported that there was no noticeable difference to the juice of wheat that had been grown on earth.
